from one of the dearest, bravest, most beautiful children passed away this morning. miss millie flamm. the moment i walked into her her hospital room at primary childrens hospital, i fell in love. her spirit seems to pour out of her on to all that meet her. she loved to color , justin beiber, all things girlie and was a JOY to be around. you can see more of her at the hospital here.
there will be a run for her, and kids just like her suffering with childhood cancer next weekend. you can see details about millie’s princess run here. what a lovely way to show you care about kids like her.
after millie was released from the hospital, i had the chance to go to her house and photograph her in her element, her home turf. their house was overflowing with love, a solid sense of family, and what really matters most. each other. love. loyalty. god.
can you feel love? i can. this is when i realize how meaningful photos are. document those you love. love those you love. really love them. embrace the small moments that life gives us each day that we take for granted. millie enjoyed life. in her short years on this earth, she touched all those around her for the better.
if you really want to get a sense for who millie was, you can watch this short video. you will cry. a good cry. a thankful cry for each life that touches ours for good. millie is now with her heavenly father, free of all earthly pains. what a beautiful thing faith in god is. i am grateful. grateful for millie. grateful for her amazing parents, thankful that i had the sweet blessing to meet her and document what i did. xoxox millie.
